The Psy Protocol Special

Psy Protocol has been moving quickly across both infrastructure and community development. The recent testnet progress, miner engagement, and structured contributor pathways paint a clearer picture of how their architecture behaves under real load and what a user-driven proof model could look like in practice.

The following updates outline current activity and give an early sense of how the system is evolving.

🔹 Mining 🔹

@PsyProtocol has launched its new PoW2.0 testnet with support from four major mining partners: @f2pool_official, @GrandCroixAI, @depin_x Capital, and @CodeStreamAI: https://cryptonews.com/news/exclusive-four-miners-back-psy-protocols-new-proof-of-work-testnet-launch/

The platform aims to handle over one million transactions per second by allowing users to generate ZKPs on their own devices, minimizing risks for validators. CEO @cmpeq said the involvement of miners marks a credibility milestone, as they contribute real infrastructure and operational costs rather than staking existing assets.

The miners will help test the network’s performance and security before Psy transitions to its mainnet later this year, which seeks to combine scalability with on-chain economic utility.

🔹 Testnet 🔹

In early October, Psy launched its public testnet showcasing a blockchain architecture designed to achieve internet-scale performance with @Bitcoin-level security: https://decrypt.co/342690/psy-protocol-testnet-combines-internet-scale-and-speed-with-bitcoin-level-security

The Psy Protocol Testnet is Now Live

Using client-side ZKPs and a horizontally scalable state model called PARTH, the network demonstrated over one million transactions per second in internal benchmarks.

Backed by top investors such as @blockchaincap and @Arrington_Cap, Psy aims to make Web2-style business models viable on Web3. Its Proof-of-Useful-Work consensus replaces traditional mining with useful computation that secures the network efficiently.

🔹 Psychonaut Incubation Program 🔹

Psy introduced the Psychonaut Incubation Program, a structured onboarding and reputation system where participants complete quests to earn Psy Points that record their activity and contributions across the network: https://x.com/PsyProtocol/status/1975548664937365881

As they progress through Ascension Tiers, members gain access to advanced tools, greater visibility, and community privileges. The program remains active, guiding newcomers toward becoming engaged creators within the Psy ecosystem.

🔹 Founder Sessions 🔹

1/ At the Psy 101 Live Session, Psy Founder Carter Feldman shared that the team is entering its pre-open source stage, outlining a detailed technical roadmap for the months ahead: https://x.com/i/broadcasts/1yNxabwOENgKj

Some highlights from the broadcast:

Carter explained how the Psy roadmap focuses on modularizing the codebase to support public contributions and improve testing before the network becomes fully open source.

• Key engineering goals include integrating ScyllaDB for faster state management, deploying NATS JetStream for efficient job distribution, and reaching one million transactions per second through ten parallel realms.

• Psy also plans to release open documentation, Rust-based APIs, and verifiable monitoring tools that publicly display realm performance and uptime.

• Weekly technical updates and live demonstrations will accompany these milestones as the project moves toward decentralization and community-led development across its expanding ecosystem.

2/ In the a follow-up live session, Carter focused on community developments and the project’s upcoming milestones: https://x.com/i/broadcasts/1lPKqvRVzvEGb

• He confirmed that a public roadmap is being finalized, including the launch of two independent protocol implementations to enhance decentralization and a Developer Incentive Program.

• Carter explained local proofing, where users execute and prove transactions on their own devices, maintaining privacy without heavy cryptographic overhead.

• He also announced that CPU-minable testnet mining will open soon, enabling participation even from smartphones.

• The Psychonaut Incubation Program is shifting toward genuine community engagement through offline initiatives, while the team continues to expand across engineering and marketing to support the next phase of development.

🔹 The Bottom Line 🔹

As the pieces come together - mining partners, scalable proof generation, contributor pathways, and developer-ready tooling - the direction is becoming clear: Psy is positioning itself to test whether a ZK-enabled, high-performance network can support real-world throughput without sacrificing security.

The coming months will show how this design performs as participation expands and the system moves toward open-source development and mainnet readiness.
